HRTailor was built on a simple bet: most early-stage companies don’t need an in-house Head of HR. They need a real HR Department they can rent — one Manager, a focused pod, a working HRMS, and someone who answers the phone.

Our story

Built by HR practitioners, not consultants.

HRTailor was founded in Mumbai by a team of HR practitioners who had spent years inside startups and mid-size companies. The pattern was the same everywhere: a founder hires one HR person, that person gets swamped on Day 1, compliance slips, payroll runs late, and the team grows frustrated.

The root cause was not the person — it was the model. A single in-house hire cannot cover all five HR disciplines simultaneously: payroll, statutory compliance, onboarding, grievance handling, and policy. So we built a pod model instead: one dedicated HR Manager who owns your account, backed by a team of six HR Executives who provide the operational depth that a single hire never could.

We layer a Cloud HRMS on top of the human pod so your employees have self-service access to payslips, leave, and expense claims — without your HR Manager being the bottleneck for every request.

Today HRTailor manages HR for 200+ startups and SMEs across Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, and eight other cities. Our clients range from 8-person seed-stage startups to 200-person manufacturing businesses. The model is the same for both.

01 — Setup

Foundation in three weeks

We audit your existing HR state, draft your policy framework, configure the Cloud HRMS, migrate all employees, and complete statutory registrations (PF, ESIC, PT, LWF) before your first payroll run with us.

02 — Monthly

Payroll, compliance, everything

Every month your HR Manager runs payroll, processes TDS, files PF and ESIC challans, handles onboarding and exits, manages grievances, and keeps your compliance calendar up to date. You get monthly reports with no chase-up required.

03 — Anytime

Available 10:00–18:00 IST

Your HR Manager is reachable on call, video, email, chat, and the HRMS portal during business hours. Escalations go to the pod lead within the hour. You are never left waiting for a response on an employment or compliance issue.
